About this event

MMOPA will host a one-day safety event in beautiful Coeur D'Alene, ID. Hosted by MMOPA and MMOPA member Scott Morgan, this will be a great opportunity to hear from one of the best educators in general aviation while enjoying all that scenic Coeur D'Alene has to offer.

Arrive Friday afternoon and meet up with other MMOPA members at the Marina Cantina bar at the Coeur d'Alene Resort Marina on the beautiful shores of Lake Coeur d'Alene for a get-acquainted cocktail hour. You'll then proceed downtown.

On Saturday, we will hold the safety seminar at Coeur d’ Alene Aviation & Maintenance (2950 W. Cessna Ave).

8:30 a.m. – coffee and get acquainted

9 a.m. – 2 p.m. – Safety seminar

Lunch will be provided.

For companions not participating in the seminar, meet up for coffee, lunch and shopping downtown hosted by Scott's girlfriend.

Saturday night dinner – Downtown Coeur D'Alene.

ABOUT THE SPEAKER:

Bruce Williams is a flight instructor and writer based in Seattle, specializing in IFR instruction in technically advanced (glass-cockpit) aircraft. Bruce enjoyed a 15-year career with Microsoft where he was involved in designing six versions of Microsoft Flight Simulator. He left Microsoft to devote full-time to his consulting company BruceAir, LLC, which develops training materials, provides flight training, and offers multimedia presentations on a variety of topics for pilots and flight instructors. He is also the author of two books about using PC-based simulation to complement flight training, plus many features on a variety of topics for aviation-focused periodicals.

A FAASTeam Rep, Bruce is a highly sought-after speaker and educator, and is a featured instructor with PilotWorkshops.

Bruce previously owned an Extra 300L in which he provided unusual attitude and spin training. Earlier this year he donated the aircraft to AOPA Air Safety Institute, which the association will use to create training materials focused on avoiding loss-of-control accidents.
